Costco's Ningbo store grand opening on June 20th marks its fourth location in mainland China and the first in Zhejiang Province.
Located at 1998, Shounandong Road, Yinzhou District, Ningbo, the Costco store covers an area of 33,979 square meters. The ground floor houses the sales area, while floors 2 to 4 provide parking for over 1,000 vehicles.
Upright display cabinets showcase meat products, with reinforced shelving to accommodate larger items. The neat and full product displays attract customers.
Horizontal refrigerated cabinets store fresh meat products. Open-front cabinets bring products closer to consumers. Good temperature control ensures product quality; bright lighting highlights the freshness.
Beverages and dairy products are displayed using refrigerated storage with rear access. This integrated display allows for replenishment from the back, ensuring FIFO (first-in, first-out) and minimizing disruption to customer shopping.

Cakes are stored in small cart-in upright cabinets. Prepared cakes can be easily placed on carts and directly pushed into the cabinets, improving efficiency in stocking and replenishment.
Low-profile horizontal cabinets, combined with a rear processing area, effectively utilize front-of-house space while allowing customers to view the cake-making process, building trust.
Half-height cabinets are used to display cooked foods.
Custom-designed flower cabinets offer three-sided access for easy customer selection. Stable temperatures and individual flower buckets minimize water loss, extending the flowers' freshness.
